I LOVE YOU is a lo fi hip hop jazz tune, reminiscent of the Jazz Liberatorz. Excellent for chill vibes playlists and relaxing kick backs, the song is imbued with proclamations of love and care. It’s also a great dance track for lovers of jazz rap. The song opens with a gorgeous piano instrumental and walking bass line composed by Santiago-based producer Ljazz Beats, until the drum kit kicks in for a definitely hip hop vibe. Ariel Sim’s lead vocal carries over the beat with jazzy stylings, supported by a harmonic quartet, until a spoken word break down takes over the song mid-way through. Described as ‘wavy’, the song is sure to relax and uplift.
